I feel that being a veteran makes you open for anyone’s ridicule (Janet Napolitano: Homeland Security). Have people forgotten the lives given for our liberty this Memorial Day?
I love my country, but I have some questions. Have we forgotten those who came before us? Have we forgotten those who died so we may remain free?
Have we forgotten that our young soldiers in harm’s way still give their lives for what this country is based on, liberty and freedom?
Our honor and integrity has been questioned by those, whom we vote into office. And we are left to wonder, does every veteran have to look over his shoulder for defending what we believe in, the good of the country?
We have built all these memorials and monuments all over this great nation, what do they really represent?
