Sheriff’s department to host law enforcement memorial service on May 13

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Department in Viroqua will host its annual Law Enforcement Police Memorial Service, Tuesday, May 13, at 10 a.m.

The service will be held in front of the sheriff’s department, located at 1320 Bad Axe Court.

Sheriff Gene Cary said the observance coincides with National Police Week, May 11-17. National Police Officer’s Memorial Day is observed on Thursday, May 15.

The public is welcome to attend. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside the sheriff’s department.
