Spenner announces appointments to county board committees

Vernon County Board of Supervisors Chairman Tom Spenner has announced most of his appointments to county committee positions.

Spenner was re-elected as board chairman in April and began to take requests for committee assignments immediately following re-election.

The county has four committees whose members are elected by the county board. All committee members are elected through a nomination and election process at the board's organizational meeting following the election. Those committees are agricultural extension, land conservation, highway, human services and Vernon Manor.

Elected to the agriculture-extension and land conservation committee were Will Beitlich, John McClelland, Herbert Cornell, Kevin Larson and Frank Easterday. Elected to the highway committee were Jo Ann Nickelatti, A. Richard Brose, Jerry Cade, Jack Robinson and Harry Baller. Elected to the human services committee were Philip Hooker, Robert Johnson, Sherman Erlandson, Todd Overbo, Chet Lee and Brian Richardson. Elected to the Vernon Manor Board of Trustees were James Servais, Raymond Moser and Ole Yttri.

These committees will elect officers for each respective committee when they hold their first regular monthly meeting.

In other action, Spenner appointed the following:

To the aging committee: Leo Verbsky, Todd Overbo, Sherman Erlandson, Karen Dahl and Kevin Larson.

To the building and facilities/long range planning committee: Jerry Cade, James Servais, Will Beitlich, Leo Verbsky and Brian Richardson.

To the emergency management committee: Thomas Spenner, Jack Robinson, Kevin Gobel, Maynard Cox and Karen Dahl.

To the finance committee: Brian Richardson, Ole Yttri, James Servais, Geoffrey Banta and Jack Robinson.

To the general government committee: Todd Overbo, Herbert Cornell, Kevin Larson, Frank McCoy and Frank Easterday.

To the health committee: Jo Ann Nickelatti, Leo Verbsky, Dennis Brault, David Banner and Frank Easterday.

To the Hidden Valleys tourism organization: Francis Hynek.

To the land sales committee: Raymond Moser, Sherman Erlandson, John McClelland, Francis Hynek and Harry Baller.

To the legal affairs/rules revision committees: Kevin Gobel, A. Richard Brose, Robert Johnson, Sherman Erlandson and Jerry Cade.

To the Mississippi River boundary waters advisory committee: Kevin Gobel, Dennis Brault and Will Beitlich.

To the Mississippi River Regional Plan Commission: Jo Ann Nickelatti.

To the Mississippi Valley Health Services committee: Sherman Erlandson.

To the personnel committee: Chet Lee, Todd Overbo, Will Beitlich, Frank Easterday and Geoffrey Banta.

To the resource committee: Robert Johnson, Karen Dahl, Kevin Larson, David Banner and Francis Hynek.

To the sheriff's department committee: Jack Robinson, Frank McCoy, Kevin Gobel, Herbert Cornell and Jerry Cade.

To the solid waste management committee: Brian Richardson, Ole Yttri, Dennis Brault, David Banner and Harry Baller.

To the tourism and promotion committee: Maynard Cox, Chet Lee, Raymond Moser, Jo Ann Nickelatti and Francis Hynek.

To the valuation study committee: A. Richard Brose, Frank Easterday, Philip Hooker, John McClelland and Leo Verbsky.

To the veterans service committee: Robert Johnson, Frank McCoy, A. Richard Brose, Herbert Cornell and Brian Richardson.

To the zoning committee: Raymond Moser, Leo Verbsky, A. Richard Brose, Francis Hynek and Jerry Cade.

To the zoning board of appeals: Frank Easterday, Robert Johnson, Geoffrey Banta, Philip Hooker (1st alt.) and Harry Baller (2nd alt.).
